October 27, 2005 Preparation Guide for Wood Decking 1. Manufacturers recommended procedure for residential and commercial decking. 2. Base material: ACX plywood or better, smooth side up. 3. Seam attachments: fasteners every 30 cm on center, staggered 15 cm to the abutting sheet. 4. Seam caulking: Urethane caulking no substitution is allowed. Use a wide blade putty knife to flatten urethane caulk to plywood surface. Follow manufacturers recommended cure time. 5. Primer: Polyprime-100 or EP-100. Apply 0.15 - 0.02 wet mm to surface, back rolling with and east/west, north/south pattern. (Note: Make sure to work primer into surface well.) 6. Strapping Seams: Apply a 0.5 076 mm coat of AMP-100 Polyurea 12 centered over all seams. 7. Finish Coat: AMP-100 polyurea at 2 mm to form a monolithic surface.
