Overview of Project
Provide district trainings with the Appsinclass team. Provide professional development related to technology to my school site. Provide support to teachers in implementing iPads within the classroom. Identify valuable apps, provide management tips, tools and lesson ideas on the Appsinclass website. Identify ongoing technological advances that can be used in the classroom and educate other teachers in the benefits of using iPads.

Asked

to join PSUSDs elite Appsinclass team to help advocate the use of iPads within the classroom. Our district is moving towards BYOD and there was a need for educators to lead the way and provide trainings for teachers. My school, TBP, purchased iPads for teachers and I was asked to lead the implementation of iPads within the school site.

Project Vision

Measurable Goals
Maintain a website that will serve as a resource for using the iPad in the classroom. Provide Professional Development through district trainings and presenting at conferences. Development of Professional Learning Networks (PLN), in particular through the adoption of social media practices such as Twitter.

Action Steps/Implementation

Maintain the Appsinclass website by writing app recommendations and creating tutorial videos.

Advocate for iPads within the classroom. Talk to principal about budgeting for teacher iPads

Coauthor 4 volumes of an eBook and publish on iTunes.

Plan and provide district trainings for PSUSD.

Attend and present sessions at CUE 2013

Plan and provide professional development for teachers at TBP.
