Leader. Having been a Girl Scout for about 12 years and playing softball for around 17 years has taught me the value of being a leader. I understand the importance of being in charge and how to handle certain situations. It has opened my eyes to what I can do and the accomplishments I can achieve. Team Player. As a member of the Adelphi softball team, I have developed a state of mind involving teamwork in every aspect of my life. I have come to know and trust my team members and will do whatever it takes to help my team be the best we can be. Responsible. By playing softball year round and having school work on top of practices and games, I have learned how to properly manage my time and homework. I have learned that if I want to do any extracurricular activities, I need to be able to have good time management skills and I must remember that school needs to come before softball.
