SWAYAM-a ray of hope

India is plagued by water-borne diseases with a child dying every 20 seconds, inspite of the governments relentless efforts in developing the country, especially the rural areas. About 6 lakhs villages do not have any access to electricity. Our strategy,SWAYAM aims at making a difference in the lives of thousands of rural Indians who are deprived of basic amenities. Our solution to the problem involves: 1. Raising awareness 2. Educating the masses 3. Selling products employing non conventional, renewable, nonexhaustible sources of energy So at SWAYAM we aim at selling eco-friendly products, providing employment, educating the masses and gaining a profit as well. We are basically not encountering much of a competition as we are focussing on developement of rural areas facing energy problems. The manufacturers hardly reach the rural masses who actually need them. In short proper marketing of the products is not done in places where it is needed. In a span of 5 years we see ourselves emerging both in terms of profit and employment generated. Thus we aim at bridging the gap between the manufacturer and the consumers in need at the same time we are doing aur bit in solving energy problems of our country.
