Benchmark #__, Standard

This letter is notifying you that your student __________________ has attempted the latest benchmark for the second time and has not received a passing score of 70 or greater. In lieu of giving an additional benchmark, I am asking that you work over the problems that are incorrect with your student by showing all work and sign and return the benchmark and this notification. Benchmarks are given throughout the 9-weeks. 70 is considered passing. If a 70 is not obtained on the original test date then reteaching occurs and a second benchmark is administered. If during the read ministration of the test a 70 or better is achieved then a 70 is recorded for the benchmark grade. If during the 2nd administration of the benchmark a 70 is still not reached this letter will serve as notice to parents and students that in order to obtain the 70 you must work through the problems that are marked wrong. The grade cannot be changed to a 70 unless this notification and the attached test are returned promptly. Thank you for understanding and prompt return of these documents. If you would like additional work for your student regarding this standard please leave me a message at the bottom of this page. Julie Albritton
