SWORN STATEMENT

I, Orlando B. Medrano, Filipino, of legal age and with office address at Suite 801, Fedman Building, 199 Salcedo Street, Makati City, after having been duly sworn to in accordance with law hereby depose and state that:

1. I am a lawyer and during the practice of my profession, Mrs. Doris Deborrah P. Escobar became a client. She contracted my legal services for the declaration of nullity of her marriage with her then husband, Mr. Joselito Escobar; 2. In a decision dated 30 October 2003, her marriage was declared a nullity by the Pasig Regional Trial Court, Branch 261; 3. One of the main reasons for the granting of Ms. Escobar's petition was the fact that Mr. Escobar had been keeping extra-marital affairs, one of which was with a certain Catherine B. Songco, which fact admitted to ms. Escobar during one of their visits and consultations in my office. According to r. Escobar, the same illicit relationship has been going on for several years already and that is the reason why he refused to give it up; 4. Not to embarrass anybody unnecessarily, I instructed Ms, Escobar that unless she was pressed for a name during the trial of her case, she need not mention her husband's paramour's name; 5. I am executing this sworn statement to attest the truthfulness of the above mentioned facts for whatever legal purposes it may serve.
