Dear Mrs. Stevens, During the first year of Middle-School I have learned a lot, mostly because of my mistakes.

I have improved as a reader by reading and reading. Although I havent read every night 30 minutes I tried reading more and more. Reading more helped me understand many vocabulary words, the characters, and the main idea of the story. My writing wasnt very good in the beginning of sixth grade and it hasnt improved very much. The first assignment of writing in sixth grade was about dogs. My grade wasnt very high and I didnt understand my problem. Later I got the same assignment so you could see my improvement. The grade between both assignments wasnt very different. One of my greatest writing was about King George IV. I havent changed in discussing and listening during a conversation. We only had two discussions. Both discussions were about Stargirl. I didnt enjoy the book very much I didnt understand Stargirl. I was feeling very nervous about the discussions so I didnt talk very much. You have helped me a lot by making me read more and write. We havent discussed a lot and I havent improved a lot. I hope you had done more discussions. My goals as a reader, write, discusser, listener, is to improve more specially in discussions.
