Landform Project

We have been studying the Earths surface in Science for the past few weeks. The final activity in this unit is for each student to create a new continent using a variety of landforms they have learned about in class. The continent should be no larger than a posterboard or small box, and it should include at least five of the landforms on the attached Landform List. The continent should be named and all of its landforms need to be labeled. This project is due April 15, 2013. Students are encouraged to be creative! Use whatever materials you would like. This project can be created on poster board/paper and be flat or it can be a 3-D model. Use lots of color. You can also use materials such as construction paper, tissue, foam, glitter glue, poster paint, markers, or stickers. If your child needs some materials sent home, please let us know and we will give them some to take home. We look forward to seeing all of your wonderful new continents!
