Medieval Foldable Project

Introduction: As we come to the end of our unit covering medieval Europe and the Dark Ages, it is important to review the major concepts and themes that have been discussed over the last two weeks. A great way to review class material in your own creative way is by utilizing foldable projects. As a class, we will construct an 8-page booklet in which you will complete using information from the medieval unit. Your medieval foldable will be divided into 3 major sections, daily life, religion, & warfare and in each section you will integrate information that we have learned into the appropriate section. In addition to reviewing material from the medieval period, you will also add drawings/pictures to aid you in your review. Requirements: There are a total of 5 sections of the Medieval Foldable Project detailed below. In each section you must incorporate material we have learned on these various topics in addition to showing off your artistic abilities. You will need to briefly discuss each piece of information you add to the foldable in addition to its importance in the development of medieval Europe. 1) Cover Page Name, Period, & Date including multiple illustration/drawings/pictures 2) Section #1 Politics Feudalism, Crusades, Formation of Monarchies, 3) Section #2 Religion Catholicism, Cathedrals, Saints, Relics, Monasteries, Inquisition 4) Section #3 Famous Individuals - William I, Richard Lionheart, Joan of Arc, etc 5) Back Cover Illustrations

You can also add pictures from the internet or magazines to help in the creation of your Medieval Foldable. The total for the project will be 30 points. Be sure to refer to the rubric in order to meet all parts of the assignment. Have fun and be creative!!
