Connect the TEMS Software. Make a New Dial-up Connection with No user name,password.Dial number is-*99#. After making a new connection dial-up using it. In TEMS Screen,Channel type should be PDCH. Refer Slide no-3.

After Connecting Dial-up and TEMS. Open TEMS Parameters-Edge Status, Data Throughput,PDP Context . In Case of GPRS Coding Schemes used are CS1-CS4 and Modulation is GMSK. Maximum Speed is-21.6kb/s in 1-TS. Refer Slide -5 & 6.

In Case of GPRS, Speed is 21.4Kb/s(approx) using 1 TimeSlot - reserved/Switchable. In case, when 3-TimeSlot is reserved/ Switchable then Speed is 64.2Kb/s(approx). Refer Slide No-8.

In Case of Gprs Four coding Schemes are used (CS1 CS4). -CS1 9.05Kb/s -CS2 13.4Kb/s -CS3 15.6Kb/s -CS4 21.4Kb/s In all the coding schemes GMSK Modulation are used. Refer Slide no- 10.

In case of EDGE Nine Coding Schemes are used (MCS1 - MCS9). - MCS1 8.8Kb/s - MCS5 22.4Kb/s - MCS2 11.2Kb/s - MCS6 29.6Kb/s - MCS3 14.8Kb/s - MCS7 44.8Kb/s - MCS4 17.6Kb/s - MCS8 56.2Kb/s - MCS9 59.2Kb/s EDGE MCS1 MCS4 uses GMSK Modulation and MCS5 MCS9 uses 8PSK Modulation. Refer Slide No-12.

In Case of EDGE, Speed is 59.2Kb/s(approx) using only when 1-TimeSlot is reserved/Swichable. In case when 3-TimeSlot is reserved/Swichable then Speed should be 177.6Kb/s(approx). Refer Slide No-14.

First make a text file of 1MB in C drive. Open Cmd window . Write command FTP 220.227.20.21 Username is root. Password is relgprs. Write ls. For Uploading the comnd is mput txt_file_name. For Downloading the comnd is mget file_name. Finally get the Average Speed. Refer Slide no-16.
