Philcultaros, AOTS-Japan scholars elect alumni society officers The Philippine Cultural & Technical Association of Returned Overseas Scholars (Philcultaros) and the Association for Overseas Technical Scholarship (AOTS) Alumni Society recently elected its new set of officers for year 2013-2014 with the help of Japanese embassy officials administering the oath of office. Also in photo are other alumni officials: Noly Cayabyab, vice president for scholarship; Liza Mascardo, vice president for administration; and Philip Ang, vice president for special projects. Since then, the alumni society made an unprecedented progress to become the leading Filipino organization with more than 7,500 members that continue to be affiliated with the Association for Overseas Technical Scholarship (AOTS) of Japan. AOTS is now known as The Overseas Human Resource and Industry Development Association (HIDA) www.hidajapan.or.jp after its merger with Japan Overseas Development Corp last March 30, 2012.
