The above comparison shows a good agreement of the theory and FEA techniques for the simulation of the pin loaded lug. Among the FEA techniques method of Cosine curve and surface effect elements are very much accurate but the nodal loading using half and full loads is a bit wayward. However the pressure loading using surface effect elements is simple to apply.
