Brief History of Science Fiction:Science fiction has been around for many centries dateing back to the Greek

civilisations which fetured superhuman beings which traveled the world seeing huge one eyed giants, 6 headed monsters and monsters that can swallow whole ships. In the 18th centuary novel writers began to produce books on sci fi, Mary Shellys novels are commonly eccepted as the precursor of modern science fiction. The book she is most renown for was her novel; Frankenstein, or, The Modern Prometheus (1818). She was one of the first people to also write a story based on an apocolypictic earth set in the future where a lone survivor wonders around the planet samplying the useless achievements of all human society, this is set in the year 2100. In the 19th centuary peoples lives where constantly being changed through technological advancements being made. The invention of the film industry aloud sci fi to go onscreen to hit big audiances in theatres around the globe. Better communications aloud people to communicate around the world with ease and science fiction became more and more popular leading up to the end of the centuary. Past decade:- Technology is still advancing at a fast rate alowing science fiction to be constantly new and intrigueing to the people watching it. With the discovery of the internet and the advancements in computers. Communications, space exploration, the discovery of new worlds, advancements in medicine and the use of robots on the battle field drawing ever closer, HD television, the mobile phone (now becoming more like a computer in your pocket). Advancements with special effectsand green screen allows science fiction films to create whole new planets and worlds in which they can use to create a more realistic apperance to the audience.
