If you plan to target shoot on public land this season, make sure you understand the regula-ons and take the necessary precau-ons to prevent the chance of wildres. Here are 10 sugges-ons on how to prevent wildres while shoo-ng.

1. BRING A BUCKET OF WATER


A 5-gallon bucket of water can prevent disaster if a re starts. Place the bucket near the target you plan to shoot, so you won't have to carry the bucket a long distance if a re does start.

2. SHOOT ON QUALITY STEEL
