Penn State Parents Program, Pennsylvania State University University Park, Pennsylvania Graduate Assistant: August 2012 Present Provide general office and administrative support to the Parents Program and Penn State Parents Council. Create and maintain Microsoft Access databases for internal tracking and assessment. Manage, refine, and analyze various surveys, using Qualtrics, Microsoft Excel, and SPSS. Assist in coordinating the annual Parents & Families Weekend for the University Park campus. Liaise with designated personnel at Commonwealth Campuses on issues concerning parental involvement and advocacy. Residential Education Office, San Diego State University San Diego, California Residence Hall Coordinator / Residential Judicial Officer: July 2008 June 2011 Supervised, trained, and evaluated a diverse paraprofessional staff of Resident Advisors (RAs) and graduate assistants. Oversaw a 24/7 front desk and security operation, including a staff of 40+ students with an annual operation budget of $80,000. Provided on-call crisis management and emergency response coverage for 3,700 member residential community. Liaised with Facilities Manager on maintenance concerns for a 600-bed multi-tower residence hall. Adjudicated student conduct violations, employing an empathic, learner-centered approach that focused on restoring justice. Advised hall council on social and educational programming, and provided fiscal management for a $13,500 programming budget. Assisted with the development, construction, implementation, and facilitation of the Tunnel of Oppression, a campus/community-wide interactive and multisensory program focusing on oppression, pluralism, and social change. Developed professional, graduate, and paraprofessional undergraduate staff training. Collaborated with Faculty-in-Residence and Graduate Academic Coordinator to create and sustain an academically enriched residential learning environment. LGBTA Student Resource Center, Pennsylvania State University University Park, Pennsylvania Graduate Intern: January 2008 May 2008 Developed a comprehensive resource manual for paraprofessional residence life staff. Facilitated LGBTA awareness presentations for various campus constituents, including residence life staff. Instructed class on queer theory for Straight Talks, a peer-led program that educates on LGBT issues, such as coming out. Campus Life/Residential Programs, Cornell University Ithaca, New York Residence Hall Director, ACUHO-I Intern: May 2007 August 2007 Supervised, trained, and evaluated 7 undergraduate resident advisors. Assisted in coordination of housing assignments for summer sessions programs. Served in an on-call capacity for the duration of the summer. Adjudicated campus code and house rules violations through judicial meetings.

Student Testing, Assessment & Research, San Diego State University San Diego, California Assessment & Research Analyst: May 2011 July 2012 Provide support and feedback on various assessment instruments for the San Diego State University community. Administer and analyze results from the Collegiate Learning Assessment (CLA), which measures institutional effectiveness on student learning.
