As a member of the Elizabeth High School Marching Band, I understand that.

Once I have arrived at a location with the band (this includes all rehearsals), I am not allowed to leave the premises. No one under 18 years of age that is not involved in a school activity is allowed at marching band rehearsals, they will be asked to leave by the directors. I have looked at the entire marching band schedule and I will fully commit myself to showing up to all rehearsals, football games, competitions and parades on time and ready to work. I am being graded for Marching Band and will receive 5 credits towards my graduation with the full understanding that I will only miss rehearsal for not being in school due to illness, or a family emergency. I understand that for any absences a signed note from a parent/guardian must be provided to the directors and that in addition to my Attendance, I am also being graded on my Overall Attitude and my Punctuality. If I have a REAL emergency and have to leave any band function early, I must have permission to leave by the directors and in order to get that permission I must bring a parent/guardian with me to them to explain why I must leave early. I cannot use Marching band as an excuse as to why I am not able to complete homework assignments or anything else schoolwork related. I understand that I will have many commitments on my time but I am given adequate time to complete my work in between school and rehearsal. Once I am assigned my uniform, I will take proper care of it, which includes keeping track of all pieces of the uniform, hanging it up properly, not leaving it on the floor at any time, protecting it at all times from food and the surrounding environment, and always remembering it on performance days. There should be absolutely no running, eating, swearing, PDA or any other inappropriate behavior while I am in full uniform. I will remember that when I am wearing this uniform, not only do I represent Elizabeth High School but I am also representing a Nationally-ranked Championship Marching Band and will act accordingly. weekly rehearsals always end at 8:30pm and my parents/guardians will pick me up no later than 8:30pm. If my parents/guardians are unable to pick me up, other arrangements will be made in advance so that I am still picked up by 8:30pm and no later, this is to ensure my safety and well-being use of my cell phone at any marching band function or while I am in uniform (this includes texting parents) is not allowed. In addition, if I am caught using my cell phone during any function, I will be forced to turn it over to the directors for the remainder of the function. Cell phone use at inappropriate times will be counted against my overall attitude grade. I will be riding on a bus to band functions and I am expected to behave in a courteous and civilized manner while on the bus, listening to all instructions and showing nothing but respect to any and all chaperones who are riding on the buses as well. As a member of the Elizabeth High School Marching Band, I will obey the following rules to ensure a more professional environment for myself, as well as every person involved with the band.
