REGULAR MEETING URBENVILLE PROGRESS ASSOCIATION 21ST MAY, 2013 MEETING OPENED AT 7.35P.M. ATTENDANCE Kerry Brown, Sue Vinall, Jim Cook, Thelma Cook, Noel Vinall, Paul Varley, Anne Varley Daphne Fegan and Colleen Scofield APOLOGIES Edna Nerney, Gary Verri, Peter Petty Lorraine Stubbings and Val Brown . PREVIOUS MINUTES Moved Jim Cook Seconded Paul Varley that the minutes be accepted as read. BUSINESS ARISING FROM PREVIOUS MINUTES. New locks have been installed at Forestry Park Key registry to be implemented INWARDS CORRESPONDENCE T.S.C. - Agenda &Minutes TSC- Local Government Grants TSC- Smoke free zone signs Fire Brigade Controlled burn M & D Autoline - Account Regional Achievement & community awards Bull Ride Certificate OUTWARDS Bull Ride Moved Colleen Scofield Seconded Anne Varley that inward correspondence be dealt with as read and outwards be approved. TREASURERS REPORT moved Kerry Brown seconded Noel Vinall that report be accepted and accounts paid. GENERAL BUSINESS Forestry Park needs to be mowed Kerry will organise volunteers. Fees will be charged at the tip as of 1st July. Anne suggested we ask council about a curb side clean up. Paul mentioned contacting someone about shifting burntout car at Tooloom. Jim to follow up. Noel suggested a letter is written to Barnaby Joyce inviting him to Urbenville. Thelma mentioned that the toilets at the Museum needed cleaning. Colleen mentioned a letter is forwarded to Dave Corcoran advising him of our Meetings. Kerry suggested that Council is contacted regarding the lack of communications from the council to the village. Meeting closed 8.35pm.

Even though it rained on Saturday, the day of the show dawned bright and sunny. The pavilion was full of local handcrafts and produce. There were cattle judging and ring events

The utes were on display, the whips were cracking and the crowds were entertained by 2 local dance groups. It was a great day. Make a note to come along to the 2014 Show

There were 260 entries in this years dog show held on Sunday 21st April, the week after the Show. It was a beautiful autumn day and everyone present had a good time.
