In January, Ghida was relying heavily on her knowledge of sight words to write sentences even if they didnt make sense. She told us that she wrote I can the care about my brother on every page. She knew that it was a nonsense sentence when she read it to us. Ghidas pictures showed detail but lacked setting. In June, Ghida used more inventive spelling, utilized her knowledge of sight words and the sentence stems we had practiced in an earlier unit. She provided an opinion with three different reasons. Her drawings are more clear and proportional and she adds props and setting on some pages.
