Crease each fold and unfold. Then fold along all existing creases simultaneously. You will get a diamond shape. This is called the Preliminary Fold. Orient it with the closed end up, and the open part down. You should have 2 flaps on the left, 2 on the right, 4 at the bottom, and 1 at the top.
