Standard Temporary Silt Fence Guidelines

This document provides specifications for installing a standard temporary silt fence. It specifies that the fence fabric must be installed to the second wire from the top and between 10-12.5 gauge. The silt fence is always required to have a woven wire fabric and must be properly entrenched with a minimum 32" width and 26" height. Stone anchoring is needed when the silt fence is protecting a catch basin and must be at least 16" above grade and installed at a 60-45 degree angle as directed by the engineer.
