TITTLE : PROCESS OF MAKING BIO-AVTUR FROM CCO BY USING HYDROCATALITYC CRACKING REACTION.

ABSTRAK Now days the Consumption of AVTUR become increasing rapidly. Its happen because the increasing of the number of commercial airplane company and some new route that they have made. We could not cover the use of AVTUR from petroleum because world oil reserve decreasing in every single day. The alternative to solve this problem is by using Bio-AVTUR. One of the resources that can converse AVTUR to Bio-AVTUR is CCO or Crude Coconut Oil. Production of CCO in Indonesia is more than enough to support an Industry of Bio-AVTUR, because production average per year of coconut in Indonesia is 3 million ton. If we take 1/3 from it, it could become 98000 ton of CCO per year. The process of making Bio-AVTUR started from filtering CCO from the impurities. Then, CCO is vaporized by using vaporizer and taken to reactor. Before entering the reactor, CCO is injected by H 2. Inside of reactor, operation condition is 400OC, pressure 5MPa, and using catalyst NiMo/SiO2Al2O3 (Erlan,2012). The type of reactor which used in this process is packed bed reactor. After come from reactor, it condensed until 200 OC. Liquid phase is recycle to the reactor and vapor phase condense again until 175 OC. This liquid phase is the Bio-Avtur, and the vapor phase can be used as fuel gas. EFFLUENT FROM REACTOR.
