------Foward-----The Rules of Alchemy and the Alchemist Alchemy, As it is in this book, is a metaphysical science of matter using natural energy. At it's basis it is the changing chemical makeup of an object into something else, therefore a object or reaction and a new chemical makeup. This process is transmutation and can be described as: altering of the new known as

Deconstruction - Using energy to break down materials. This can be used with reconstruction to create something new or by itself to destroy something to it's most basic materials. Reconstruction - To reform a marterial into a new shape or substance. Just like deconstruction, reconstruction can be be used on it's own but insteed it is used to fix or recreate. Comprehension - To understand the properties of the materials and/or energy involved. This is inportant for safety and for the result but is not necessary. This is widely believed to be mystical art therefore able to do almost anything. But this is not the case, for Alchemy is science and so must follow rules as such. for example; if you object had most of water you could only change it into something mostly made up of water. Or if you had an object that weighed one pound you only create something wighing one pound. These are the first and second rules of alchemy which must be followed for any transmutation. The consequences for not following these rules are almost always deadly. Then there is the alchemist, a remarkable individual that has the talent and knowledge to preform alchemy. Since alchemy is a chemistry, physics,and maith, an alchemist must have a good understanding of them. The idea that alchemy is a magic, as it is inthis book, based on the fact that it could be used to do almost anything, but what people ddon't know is that this can only work through the laws of sience. To add to this, an Alchemist has talent that most individuals lack for understanding.
