OBSERVATIONS

FINDINGS
Livelihood issues learnt from the interviews: Largely dependant on seasonal farming. Extreme scarcity of water. Seasonal rivulets and rain only source of water for majority of the population. No Government assistance Only suggestions. Wealthy people have tube wells, peter pumps and pipelines.

Contd.
Influential people have made dams on the seasonal rivulets to store rain water, stopping the flow further down the stream. This season, only 25% to 30% wheat crop was yielded. Peanuts are grown during winters, but Wild boars damage those crops.

RECOMMENDATIONS
Water to be made available through: Installation of water reservoirs. Water Tanks and more. Government should monitor the barricades on the seasonal rivulets. Financing poor people to install water pumps. Job opportunities through skill development. Health facilities to be made available and to monitor existing home based doctors. Gas cylinders are expensive No gas pipelines. No Emergency Response institution.
