WATERPROOFING WORKS FOR FLAT ROOF AT AMANPURA HOTEL IN SUNGAI PETANI, KEDAH

WATERPROOFING METHOD

1. Hack and remove all existing cement screed and remove all debris from site 2. Remove all existing minute debris by using high pressure water jet making sure that no debris, moss or foreign matters are left. 3. 2 layers of MALSPAIN MS PRIMER (SBR) waterproofing compound are applied to the total floor space by using brush or rollers and also 1 feet up to the walls. 4. A period of 24hours are needed for proper drying. 5. Applying of 1 layer MS FLEX B68 flexible cementitous compound by troweling method to the prepared floor and walls. 6. 24 hours period are needed for proper drying of the cementitious compound. 7. New screed (ready mix mortar with waterproof compound added) is applied by using power float to smoothen the cement with proper gradient towards existing Rain Water Down Pipes. 8. 2 layers of fiberglass sheets are laid and epoxy resin EPOVIA is applied with a mixture of EPOVIA RF1051 and catalyst. 9. The whole floor will be painted with 2 layers of solvent base epoxy paint EPOCOAT 928SB
