Abstract
These special developments which are accomplishes on the systems of video
processing, allow us to expand civil controlling and managing and supporting of
roads security. Meanwhile, those visual systems of computer which are making
equipments have been accounting for automatic controlling of terrific. In this article,
we used of techniques of image,s processing for intelligent controlling of traffic by
using of a constant camera. Those designed systems are able to detect and track and
categorize vehicles and obtain the parameters of traffic. At first, by using of
background subtraction and operation of morphology, we can detect transit vehicles.
These images of vehicles get inside the blob of processing and then we considered the
center of blob as a tracking point. For each automobile and then by using of
geometrical coordinates, the distance of automobile to camera, the average speed of
automobiles and the number of them are obtained. At the last step, those transit
vehicles are selected which are near the camera and by extracting of features we can
to the following categorization.

Keywords: video processing, automatic controlling traffic, vehicle classification,
