Educational Experiences Chemistry Teacher at Detroit Community High School Fall 2012 Spring 2013 Taught for one full year at Detroit Community High School. Class sizes ranged from 15 to 30 depending on the semester. One prep for five classes of Chemistry as well as participating in afterschool tutoring. Classroom Observations Spring 2011 Spent time once a week observing and tutoring students at Seneca High School, a science and math preparatory school in an urban district of Buffalo, New York. Tutoring Fall 2009 Spring 2011 Tutored students in chemistry through various outlets, mainly through the Student Affiliation of the American Chemical Society while at the University at Buffalo. Chemistry Related Networks Member of the American Chemical Society Spring 2008 Fall 2012 During undergrad coursework took on the role of secretary in the Student Affiliation of ACS in Fall 2010. While a great networking opportunity there were also many chances to get out into the community. One example was having the chance to travel to surrounding K-12 schools and providing demonstrations to promote an interest in the sciences.

Other Other things of note include having studied abroad in Italy during the spring semester of 2011, an avid member and supporter of the arts (being in the marching band throughout high school and college), and having spent time helping out at Ottawa Hills hosting an unofficial anime club.
