Otherwise, the detection devices will Not function properly & the keypad(s) will NOT be able to display the correct zone operation. If using the 2k2 Tamper Resistor, put the 2k2 somewhere in SERIES (In-Line) with the circuit, either inside the detector or as close as possible to the detection device. Alternately, 2 x 1k resistors (1st at the Low Zone detector & 2nd at the High Zone detector) may be fitted to fully protect the tamper circuits of both High & Low Zones. The electrical difference between a N.O. device (smoke) and a N.C. device (PIR) is done in programming.

Normally, Output-4 is a 500mA Fully Programmable Open Collector (voltage type) Output.
Most motorised garage doors have a Normally Open (Going Closed when pushed) push button / switch. To control a garage door from your Power Wave Wireless Remote Controls, simply connect the C (Common) and NO (Normally Open) contacts of a relay (example above) ACROSS (in Parallel) to the garage door opening push button / switch. Note-1: Relay must be supplied by installer. Note-2: The Optional relay on Output-4 of some PW-8 panels (Ver:8.71 and above) may also be used to operate a garage door (Output-4 Jumper should be on 1 pin Only).
