Put the EOL resistor (4k7 for Low Zone or 8k2 for High Zone) inside the detection device and ACROSS (in Parallel to) the alarm contacts. Otherwise, the detection devices will Not function properly & the keypad(s) will NOT be able to display the correct zone operation. If using the 2k2 Tamper Resistor, put the 2k2 somewhere in SERIES (In-Line) with the circuit, either inside the detector or as close as possible to the detection device. Alternately, 2 x 1k resistors (1st at the Low Zone detector & 2nd at the High Zone detector) may be fitted to fully protect the tamper circuits of both High & Low Zones. The electrical difference between a N.O. device (smoke) and a N.C. device (PIR) is done in programming.

At the panel (PCB) end, join these 2 wires (Make a Series Connection) between the Low Zone (Eg: Zone-1) & the High Zone (Eg: Zone-5) detection devices. T he EOL Resistors (Eg: 4k7 for Low Zones & 8k2 for High Zones) MUST be connected (in parallel) ACROSS the alarm contacts of a detection device as per this diagram. Zone Doubling Golden rules: 1
