Crostini with figs and goat cheese


Grocery ~ baguette goat cheese light cream figs ~ dried or jam honey extra virgin olive oil dried herbs ~ thyme and basil red pepper flakes kosher salt coarse black pepper Begin ~ preheat oven at 400 degrees baguette ~ sliced thin, about a quarter inch extra virgin olive oil ~ half cup add about a teaspoon of mixed dried herbs to olive oil and a pinch of... kosher salt, coarse black pepper and red pepper flakes Continue ~ brush the herbed oil on both side of bread, arrange on a sheet pan and bake till just golden goat cheese mixed with a bit with light cream to loosen a bit figs ~ slice thin if using dried Arrange ~ plate the crostini, spread top with goat cheese, add a slice of dried fig or half teaspoon of fig jam and drizzle with honey.
