1.Marking: Van c marking theo MSS SP-25 v cc yu cu theo sau: 1.1 Identification markings: Name: manufacturers name or trade mark Materials: Cast valves: heat No/ heat identification and symbols (letters and numbers) (given in ASTM to designate the material grade) Forged or fabricated valves: marked with the ASTM specification number and grade identification symbols. If grade identification symbols are unique for ASTM, ASTM number may be omitted. When more than one material or grade of materials is used, each shall be identified. For one material only, a single marking on the body is all that is required. ASME specification number may be substituted for ASTM specification number for Grade, Class or Type of material. Rating: valve body shall be marked with the number that corresponds to the pressure rating class designation except that Special Class and Limited Class. (Table 1 ASME B16.34) Temperature: is not required. Size: NPS designation shall be shown. Omission of Marking: when valve size and shape are limited, marking shall be omitted in the following order: Size rating material manufacturers name or trademark Ring-joint flange: valves have ring joint end flange shall be marked R and the corresponding ring-groove number (ASME B16.5) on the edge. Multiple material marking: will be marked with more than one of applicable specification or Grade symbols. The acceptability of multiple marking shall be in accordance with the guidelines set out in ASME Section II, part D, appendix 7.

1.2 Identification Plate:

Manufacturers name Pressure marking: identification plate shall be marked with applicable valve pressure rating and the pressure rating class designation number. Standard of compliance: B16.34 for Standard Class, B16.34 SPL for Special Class, B16.34 LTD for Limited Class. Prefix ASME is optional.
