I wish to participate in the LAMP Fellowship as it would help me contribute to my country. I would get an opportunity to work with an MP and experience the parliamentary procedures first-hand and contribute to the same by exploring the issues associated with the constituency, researching on relevant policies, and providing inputs that would be of assistance to my MP. It would give me a deeper understanding of how our political system works. The nature of the work of a LAMP Fellow is such that no two days are the same and the Fellowship would provide me with enough challenging assignments that would help me develop my personal and professional skills. Since I wish to pursue a career in management it would be an ideal way to start my career. The opportunity to see how things work right at the grass-root level, understand the problems and then work on feasible solutions with their future implications in mind would be a great learning experience for me. Such a unique and enriching exposure would definitely give me an unmatched edge in the years to come.
