Ms.

President;

I am a member of your Granite City Environmental Action Organization,

and I have been tasked with budgeting $20,000 (USD) for environmental
action. I have reviewed 14 applications for donations from organizations and
charities from the Greater Granite City Area and around the world, and I have
come to the conclusion that $5,000 should be donated to the Boneyard
Creek Society, A local organization dedicated to cleaning and clearing creeks
and natural water supplies in our local area. Natural water flow spreads
pollution caused by chemicals and trash that enter the water system. The
rest of the $20,000, now reduced to $15,000, should be, in my opinion, spent
on our local animal shelter to feed and shelter cats and dogs. A $1,000
donation to the animal shelter would feed and house 5 dogs and 10 cats for
a year, therefore a $15,000 donation would feed and house up to 150 cats
and 75 dogs for one year or keep 5 dogs and 10 cats for 15 years. Keeping
this number of animals off of the streets will help prevent the spread of
rabies and diseases in humans, as well as improve the health of the animals
in question. With the assistance of your consideration, I hope to make both
goals of the improved water system and improved animal care a reality.

Thank you for your time;

Grant des Rosiers
