ACTIVITIES : 1. Induction set 2. Teacher leads the discussion by displaying the pictures of latest Moon landing or the space probe using the internet or CD ROM to stimulate pupils interest. 3. Teacher shows the computer simulation of the relative sizes of the Sun, the Moon, Earth and other planets in the Solar System. 4. Teacher shows the sago bead, the glass marble and the basket ball as to comparing the sizes of the Moon, Earth and the Sun. 5. Pupils discuss the analogy and draw the conclusions. 6. Teacher gets pupils to build the model as explained to compare the relative sizes and distances of the Sun and the Moon from Earth using the appropriate objects. 7.
