Good morning Mrs Harris, teachers, students and our very special visitors. Welcome to our Education Day assembly.

We have lots of wonderful performances to show you and we are so excited that you could all be here with us today.

We acknowledge the traditional owners of the Land to the east the Guringai people and to the west the Dharug people, and acknowledge their living cultures and the unique roles they have played in maintaining life in this region. We pay respect to our Elders past and present and acknowledge the invaluable and unique contribution that they have made and continue to make in the lives of our young people.

Please sit quietly and say our school creed with me. This is our school, Let peace dwell here Let the rooms be full of contentment, Let love abide here Love of one another, love of mankind and love of life itself, And let us remember that as many hands build a house, Many hearts make a school

Please stand quietly, with your hands by your side for the National Anthem. Please sit quietly. Our first exciting item for the day is the Junior Girls Dance Group. The Junior Girls Dance Group is made up of 18 girls from years 3 and 4. This year they are performing in many different showcases. Today they are excited to perform a dance for you choreographed by Miss Smith. The dance is entitled Zombies on the Dance floor.

Thank you for that wonderful performance. Next we have kindergarten. Kindergarten will be singing and dancing to the classic song 'Shake Your Tail
Feather'. The lyrics have been re-worked to reflect the Kindergarten experience at West Pennant Hills Public School

What an amazing performance, Kindergarten. Up next we have the Stage 3 choir. These magnificent 16 singers are currently in years 5 and 6. This year they are lucky enough to be performing at the Sydney Opera House in the Arts North Primary Choral Concert. Today, they will be conducted by Miss Smith as they sing Corner of the Sky, from the Broadway musical, Pippin.
