Local Public Relations Firm Celebrates One-Year Anniversary New Orleans, La., July 25, 2012 Uptown PR is celebrating its One Year Anniversary on Thursday, August 9. The toast to Uptown PRs one- year celebration will be an evening of food, fun, and sophistication. Guests will have the opportunity to mingle in Uptown PRs new contemporary loft- styled office space while enjoying tasty cocktails and h orderves. The celebration will also feature music from THEREALSTEVEN, a local innovative DJ. We are elated to celebrate our first year in business, said Genevieve Douglass, Founder and Executive Director of Uptown PR. We are so grateful to the clients and associates that have contributed to the success we have achieved thus far. After working for six years in the industry, Genevieve started Uptown PR in the fall of last year because she saw a need for PR and marketing support by local small businesses that couldnt always afford larger agencies. She thought Uptown PR could fill that niche, and so it did. Already with two full time employees and two interns, the company has seen tremendous growth. Their current clients include Alliance Insurance, Big Easy Rollergirls, Guest Law Firm, The Kupcake Factory, Purely e, Tallulahs Designs, and the Unknown Traditions Book Series. The anniversary party is scheduled for 5:30-7:00 p.m. and will take place at Uptown PRs new location, 4306 Magazine St.
