position exist The Environment, Health and Safety Manager (EHS Manager) is responsible for the development, implementation & continuous improvement of Environmental, Health and Safety management systems at Cargill's location. EHS Manager reports directly to the Plant Superintendent (Factory Manager) at the location, but also has a reporting line to the Foods India BU EHS Manager. Responsibilities / Principal Activities Area of responsibility: Develop, implement, and continuous improvement of Environmental, Health and Safety management systems. Follow-up on compliance with relevant standards both state regulatory and Cargill Corporate EHS guidelines. Principal accountabilities: 1. Adherence of EHS Management Systems as per the Cargill Corporate Guidelines & State regulatory laws. 2. Ensure that Environmental, Health and Safety reports are made and results are analysed, reported and followed up with corrective or preventive actions. 3. Stimulate awareness, facilitate training Environmental, Health and Safety topics and facilitate improvement processes for employees and Contractors working in the facility. 4. Co-ordinate audits (customers, internal, certifying, external partners/suppliers) and review results. Liase with Corporate EHS auditors for the audit schedules, audit procedures implementation & review the action plans. 5. Liaise with internal, external and governmental organizations in the field of Environment, Health and Safety to ensure proper functioning of EHS Systems 6. Influencing leaders to promote proactive work place health and safety management systems
