SRI LANKA MEDICAL COUNCIL INSTRUCTIONS FOR MEDICAL GRADUATES FROM SRI LANKA WITH FOREIGN MEDICAL/DENTAL OUALIFICA

TIONS OBTAINED FROM RECOGNIZED MEDICAL/DENTAL SCHOOLS

OBTAINING APPROVAL OF DEGREE/APPROVAL TO SIT ERPM/ERPDS FROM THE COUNCIL Apply for Approval of the Degree/Approval to Sit ERPM/ERPDS by submitting the following documents: a) The Application Form duly completed and attested by a Justice of the Peace/Commissioner of Oaths b) The Bank Credit Slip and the Voucher duly certified by the bank that a sum of Rupees. 7500/- has been credited to the account of the Council - Bank of Ceylon, Maradana Branch AlC No. 0000371208 through any branch of the Bank of Ceylon. c). The Original Degree Certificate with a photocopy. The latter would be retained in the Council. If the degree certificate is in any language other than English, a translation of the certificate in English which is certified by the Sri Lanka Embassy in that country. d). The Original Mark Sheet or Transcript with a photocopy. If the mark sheet or transcript is in any language other than English, a translation of the document in English which is certified by the Sri Lanka Embassy in that country. e) If the degree certificate would not be awarded until internship is completed, the original and a photocopy of the Provisional Pass Certificate. f). The Original Passports and photocopies of the pages indicating Visas for entry to the country where the training was done, Embarkation and Disembarkation entries in that country and Sri Lanka for the entire period. g). Two stamp-size photographs in colour. h). The criteria for entry to the medical school with proof of passing the exams. Please note that the Head (Dean/Principal) of the Medical School/University which awarded your degree should confirm it by sending a fax directly to the Council through fax No. 0094-11-2674787. Application Forms could be handed over to the Council Office between 9.00 a.m. and 1.00 p.m. and from 1.30 p.m. and 3.30 p.m. on Working Davs. The Council office is closed on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays.
