To Whom It May Concern, It was our pleasure to have Emma Behr decide to give a large part of her summer break to TREC; Therapeutic Riding Equestrian Center. She ended up volunteering almost 80 hours over several weeks. (June 11 July 23) As do all of our volunteers, she started out as a side walker for our physically and mentally challenged adults and children. She was attentive and kind to the riders and worked well with the staff and other volunteers. When her horsemanship skills became apparent, she was quickly promoted to horse leader. She was actually able to handle our more challenging horses that we usually assigned to more seasoned volunteers. After demonstrating her riding ability, she offered to work with one of our new horses in training. I was very impressed with how well she did with Dixie. She put a lot of time into her and with Emmas perseverance and exceptional riding Dixie started to show us just how good of a horse she can be. I am now very excited about her potential. I found Emma to be very mature and responsible as well as kind and outgoing. She also learned quickly and was willing to do anything that was asked of her. I would like to have more volunteers just like her! I hope she comes back as often as possible.

Sincerely,

Kimberly Danylko Program Director Therapeutic Riding Equestrian Center 8342 Platz Rd. Fairview, PA 16441 814-474-5276 WWW.trecerie.org
