Assuming the door is no more than three feet wide, and opens towards the person opening the door, starting with the person standing with their arms at their sides, two feet from the door. 1. Which side is the door handle on? a. Left: Go to two. b. Right: Go to eleven. 2. Extend your left hand six inches towards the door handle. 3. Is the door handle within the grasp of your fingers? a. Yes: Go to five. b. No: Go to three. 4. Grasp the door handle with your left hand. 5. Twist the handle to the left. 6. Slide your left foot backwards one foot. 7. Slide your right foot backwards one foot. 8. Straighten your posture. 9. While moving your left hand toward your right hip, let go of the door handle. 10. Go to nineteen. 11. Extend your right hand six inches towards the door handle. 12. Is the door handle within the grasp of your fingers? a. Yes: Go to thirteen. b. No: Go to eleven. 13. Grasp the door handle with your right hand. 14. Twist the handle to the right. 15. Slide your right foot backwards one foot. 16. Slide your left foot backwards one foot. 17. Straighten your posture. 18. While moving your right hand toward your left hip, let go of the door handle. 19. The door is open.
