Cup, I didn't know much about the fifa world cup, for example i didn't know that there was a diferent cup to the present. Its names was Jules Rimet Trophy, originally was called "Victory" or commonly known with "World cup" or "Coupe du Monde" but was renamed with the name of Jules Rimet who organized the first tournament. This trophy was designed by a french sculptor. To prevent The Nazis Dr. Ottorino Barassi, an Italian sports official, hid the tropy under his bed. for most of the war time before the 1950 World Cup. This tropy was stolen in 1966, but then was found by a dog in a garden, his owner received a lot of money for that. After 1970, a new trophy was designed and was named the FIFA World Cup. his design was chosen from 53 other models trophies. This trophy isn't awarded to the winning nation permanently. The originally gold cup is in the FIFA's possesion, so the winning nation receives a replica. A new World Cup trophy will be required for 2042, the name plaque at base of the current trophy is designed to be filled up by names of the 17 champions from 1974 to 2038. Therefore in 2042, a new trophy will be used.
