TRUE TO FORM: MR ABBOTT KICKS OFF NEGATIVE START TO CAMPAIGN This afternoon at his first election campaign press

conference, Mr Abbott confirmed he would run a highly negative campaign in this election. In contrast, the Prime Minister outlined a new way focussing on Labors positive plan. Mr Abbott kicked off his campaign in true form by trash talking the nation, comparing our AAA rated economy to nations like Greece and Spain. He outlined exactly what he stands for in this election and unsurprisingly its based on exactly what he has done for the past three years. His plan is more negative politics, more empty slogans and a plan for big cuts to health and education. In contrast, the Prime Minister focussed on the Australian economys strengths our low debt, our AAA credit rating from all three ratings agencies and the almost one million jobs created over the past five years. Mr Abbott also refused to agree to a debate tomorrow night with the Prime Minister, following an invitation being issued by Sky News. Just a month ago Mr Abbott said Name the date, start the campaign. I'll debate him every day. [SMH Online 4 July 2013]. If Mr Abbott isnt ready to debate the Prime Minister, then he isnt ready to be Prime Minister. MELBOURNE 4 AUGUST 2013
