FAMILY MATTERS TO GOD

The only way to prepare the next generation for unexpected trial is by living in authentic dependence upon the Almighty, omniscient Creator of the Universe. Because family matters most to God, what can you do today so that your family will enjoy its wholeness, hence, the favor of the living God? Because family matters to God... A. You are to fear the Lord (Deuteronomy 6:1-2) But how do you develop the fear of God in your life and in your childrens life? To develop the fear of God: read your Bible every day and obey God in His Word.(v.3) B. You are to love the Lord (Deuteronomy 6:4-5) But how do you teach ourselves and our children to begin loving the Lord? To teach yourself and your children of the love of God: learn the commands of God from the Bible. (v.6-9) C. You are to remember how God have saved you (Deuteronomy 6:12-15) But how can you and your children best not to forget the Lord especially in times of abundant? To forget not the Lord: remember how the Lord heard and answered your prayers and petitions out of His faithfulness and goodness. (v.1011) D. You are to honor the Lord. But how do you and your children avoid putting God to the test? Seek and obey Gods will. (v.17-19) E. You are to pass on the faith to your children (Deuteronomy 6:20-21) What does your children and yourself needs to know about faith in God? That God is powerful to save His people and He commanded obedience for His people. (v.22-25)
