PROFESSIONAL ACCOUNTING PATHWAY (PRELIMINARY)

The degree requirements are: (a) Completion of five compulsory common core units (30 credit points): AFW1000 Principles of accounting and finance BTW1201 South African business law A ECW1101 Introductory microeconomics ETW1102 Business statistics MGW1010 Introduction to management (b) It is VERY IMPORTANT FOR prospective students to realise that MKW1120 (Marketing theory and practice) is excluded from the course map below. This is currently a compulsory common core unit, and its exclusion from this course map is still subject to University approval. Furthermore, students wanting to migrate to another course map or major at the end of their first year, would not have a credit for MKW1120, making it problematic to migrate.

Students are required to check prerequisites and prohibitions for units. Each unit carries 6 credit points. Prerequisites are in brackets.
