State the method of controlling the manipulated variable The tall cylinder is filled with water till about full.

The funnel with the membrane facing downwards is pushed into the cylinder to a depth, d of 5 cm. (vi) State the method of measuring the responding variable The corresponding difference in coloured liquid level, h of the manometer is measured with a metre rule and its reading is recorded. (vii) State how the procedure is repeated to obtain at least 5 sets of results Repeat the experiment with d = 10.0 cm, 15.0 cm, 20.0 cm and 25.0 cm.
