9 August 2013 Manx Taekwondo Festival.

The first Manx Taekwondo Festival is to be held over the weekend of 27th 29th September 2013. The event will cover all aspects of Taekwondo, competition sparring, basic and advanced training, technical Poomsae and selfdefence. Alternatively you can also contact Chief Instructor Rod Nielsen, on 07624-436181. Closing date for registration of insurance details and numbers by instructors via email is 14th September 2013. Participants and students are reminded to ensure they have Full Sparring Safety Equipment. The full schedule for the weekend can be found on the accompanying document but here is a brief outline of some of the weekends events: Friday 27th Arrival/hotel registration & evening Training Session. Saturday 28th Morning Training Session at National Sports Centre, mid-day lunch break followed by afternoon session & speeches. Sunday 29th Morning Training Session & afternoon closing speeches. Sessions will be led by British Taekwondo Chief Instructor Master Ian Lennox and British Taekwondo Poomsae Chairman Master Derek Sumner. The festival fee for one student is 25.00. All fees are to be paid in cash at registration. For further payment details see accompanying festival document. There are also other events happening over the weekends, activities in the evenings will be organised but are not included in the fee and must be self-funded. Evening meals will be available for both students and parents. All students who attend will receive both a Participation Award & Certificate at the Presentation at The National Sports Centre on Saturday. Only current British Taekwondo members are permitted to take part in the festival, all participants must bring along with them their membership books.
