Annotated Bibliography Assignment WR 227 Your goal in this assignment is to collect, read, and evaluate articles on your project

topic. You will then provided annotations for at least six scholarly resources for your final technical report. (Note: although you must have a minimum of eight scholarly sources for your final project, I have decided to only require that you complete six annotations for this assignment.) For this assignment, you will create a list of possible sources and write summary and evaluation paragraphs about each one. Based on the subjects and questions you have identified for your project, find at least six sources that address your topic from several different perspectives. You should use scholarly articles for this assignment. If you have conducted an interview already, it may be one of your sources you annotate here. Follow the steps below:
1. Print, read, and annotate each of the articles and be able to identify the following

elements: a. The conversation in which the article participates b. The arguments the writer responds to c. The authors argument and major supporting ideas d. The authors credentials (qualifications for writing on this topic) e. The purpose and audience of the book or journal in which the article is published f. How this source will be useful in addressing your research question
2. Write a 150-word (minimum) summary paragraph of each article followed by a

second paragraph that evaluates items d-f above. The second paragraph should also be at least 100 words, should be written in your own words, and should contain no quotations (except if needed for titles).
3. Create a bibliography listing these six works, using proper MLA or APA

documentation.
4. Insert your summary and evaluation paragraphs just below the citation of the

article it describes.
5. Format your paper with the appropriate heading and page numbering system in

MLA or APA style. Title this document Annotated Bibliography: [insert your topic here] . View the sample on Blackboard for additional guidance.
