Since 2009, Cornerstone has used the Everyday Mathematics program which has helped to develop excellent problem

solvers. This spiraling curriculum introduces new concepts throughout each grade level and revisits them often. With the introduction of math facts, we see our students quickly and clearly understanding the problem solving process involved with finding the answer to each fact. We recognize that it is equally important for our students to have automaticity when learning the fact families. The memorization of facts depends on a home-school partnership that will be consistent and frequent. Below you will find the math fact progression we follow 1st through 4th grade. A daily drill of math facts at home is necessary and will help your child in memorizing the required facts. Parent-Child Drill Time: 5 minutes a night
