Eco Week Decision – With the grade level reconfiguration, eco-week transferred
down to 5th grade. We have spent much discussion time and survey time around what
eco-week will look like here at Bauder. Next year, 5th graders will have an overnight
experience in the spring. This will be one night at a location to be named, as we are
still exploring options. We are excited to continue to offer an overnight experience for
our students and will revisit how we can improve this each year.

Pool Party – Reminder to 5th grade parents: BIG thanks to PTO and 5th grade parents
who organized the pool party. There will be an end of the year pool party for 5th
graders at the Village Greens pool on Saturday, May 30th at 7 PM. There is no cost to
the student and they do not have to members to come. All 5th graders are invited to
attend as the cost has been picked up by PTO.

Staff Change – Mrs. Rokke has decided to go half-time next year and has agreed to
become our new half-day Kindergarten teacher! We are all excited about this move.
This opens up a second grade position, which we are currently interviewing for.

Super News – Congrats to Mrs. Alexander and her future broadcast team! They have
been selected to be a part of the Rocky Mountain PBS Super News next year. Their
broadcast will be showcased on PBS next year!

Lot Closed – Next week, the pre-school lot will be closed for drop off and pick up. All
drop-offs and pick-ups will need to be from the east parking lot OR you can always
park and walk across the street to pick up your child. Please make appropriate
arrangements with your children. This will also be a good transition for our current
Kindergarteners to begin walking around the building as they become 1st graders next
year.

Back to School Orientation – Next year please plan on attending our annual Back to
School Orientation event on TUESDAY, AUGUST 18th from 4 – 6 PM. Students will be
dropping off supplies, meeting their teacher, and parents will be able to hear about the
classrooms. Of course there will be ice cream! First day of school for students is
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 19th.
