Oral Alphabet Assessments

Task: Students will be presented with cards or a mat containing the letters we have learned. The teacher will then ask students to do a variety of the following: Name a written letter and give its sound. Point to a named letter. Point to the letter that matches a named sound. Choose a letter that matches its capital or lowercase counterpart. Students may be asked to do these tasks and indicate their answers in a variety of playful ways (e.g. driving over the letters with a toy car, hopping on the letters, etc.).
