Jackson Christian Activity Policy One of the advantages of Jackson Christian is the existence of opportunities for our students

to participate in multiple activities. This is something that benefits students not only during their formative high school years but also as they apply to colleges and beyond. In order to successfully accomplish this, we as teachers, coaches and directors must be committed to working together in a Christ-like way that facilitates cooperation and encourages the interests of the student. The following policies of our school is what the administration has laid forth: 1) Teachers, coaches and directors will not dictate to a student whether he or she may participate in other school activities. 2) Conflicts between activities will be handled in the following manner: Games/performances/competitions have priority over practices. When games, performances, and/or competitions simultaneously occur, students have the right to choose which they will attend without punishment when they are equivalent in weight. The scale in general is as follows: District games trump regular season games and practices. District tournament games trump district games. State games trump any lower level competition. The athlete/student does not have a choice in these matters. 3) All school personnel will post their scheduled activities (games, tournaments, tryouts, camps, workshops, concerts, and competitions) on a school calendar that can be mutually accessed. 4) Teachers, coaches and directors will make reasonable efforts to show support to their students activities across the board and to work in a spirit of togetherness.
