Activity Q Financial Report 1. What is sales revenue?

It is the total amount of money you take in on the day, minus the float but not the expenses.

2. What is the difference between price and cost?


The cost is how much we spent buying and making our product. The price is what we sell our product for.

3. How is profit determined?


By taking away the float and the expenses. If a profit is not made it usually means your price was lower than your cost or you didnt sell as much as you were expecting to.

4. List all of your products and their prices.


Tacos $3.99, Burritos - $3.99 and Churros 1 for $1.50 for and 2 for $2.50.

5. How many did you sell?


65 Churros, 30 Burritos and 25 Tacos.

6. What was your total cost in the end?


$180

7. What were you total costs in the end?


$319.60

8. What were your estimated per unit cost?


Churros - $0.31 Tacos/Burritos - $3.30

9. How much sponsorship did you receive? What did you provide your sponsoring business in return?
We received $50 from Eleven, $50 from Ponter-Amor consultancy, $50 from New Zealand post, $50 from Mrs and Mr Macpherson and $10 per student. We advertised these companies on our Facebook and Instagram page as well as on posters around Queen Margaret College.

What was your total profit?

$319.60 we added in our float to the total to go towards charity.

Were you pleased with this? Why? Why not?

We were pleased with our total profit because we earned an average between each market group. If we could do it again we di dnt need as much ingredients for the tacos/burritos since we didnt sell out. We also could have made more Churros as they sold out quickly.

12. What three pieces of advice would you give to next years Enterprise classes for maximising profit on Market day?
- Be original and make a product that no other group has or is similar to you. - Make sure it is simple. - Be first in to get sponsors we had a lot of declined companies because they were already sponsoring another group. - Be organized, do not leave work to the last minute.
